"Which channels can I receive and which receiver do I need ?"
...
This is the most common question we are being asked at present. Due to the BBC and ITV channels going free to air, and recent changes in the free
to view card situation there are a couple of options depending on which channels you require.
1, Using a Free To Air (FTA) Receiver
Technomate FTA,
Televes, ect
Channels available - BBC1 ,2 ,3, 4,
Choice, News24, Cbeebies, CBBC, Parliament, Sky News, ITN News, CNN, Euronews, Fashion TV, Motors TV, Extreme Sports, Travel, Classics TV, Chart Show TV, Pop Channel, Game Network, Rapture,
Performance, Reality TV, BEN, AVAGO, Live TV, ACTV, Friendly TV, CCTV9, God Channel, and various Shopping Channels - QVC TV Shop, etc, etc - this list is subject to change
These channels can be received
free (no card required) using a Free To Air satellite receiver from most countries in Europe as long as you have the correct dish size.
2, Using a Sky Digibox
Channels available - As above, but with the possibility of adding Channel 4, Channel 5 and any of the Sky Digital channels as long as you take out the relevant Sky subscription package.
It is possible to get a card just for the Ch4 & Ch5 channels (for a one off payment) by contacting Sky or to take out a minimum Sky subscription package (without phone line subsidy). Sky subscription packages are available to UK residents who reside in the UK and are controlled via Sky themselves - we cannot provide this service.
Sky digiboxes are not made specifically for use abroad - only by testing them in the far reaches of
the satellite footprint do we find that certain models perform better than others. The models we find suitable for this purpose are clearly labelled in our online store.
